OLED televisions turn movies and series into a breathtaking experience
The “Storchen” on Zurich’s Weinplatz directly on the Limmat has been hosting guests since at least the 15th century. After the five-star boutique hotel was elevated to a new level of luxury in two stages from 2017, it has invested in cutting-edge guest room tech: All 64 rooms and suites have been equipped with 48 and 55 inch OLED TVs (48ES961H/55WS960H) from LG since March 2021. “The Storchen guests are used to upscale tech,” says Raphael Pedroncelli, Managing Director of Operations. “To make them feel completely at home on vacation or on a business trip, we provide them with brilliant OLED technology and incredible Dolby sound.” Hotelinnovativ AG from Baar, Switzerland, handled the technical implementation. “Guests can quickly and easily ‘cast’ their content from streaming providers such as Netflix, Spotify and Disney+,” said Hotelinnovativ CEO Karim Toledano. “And through mobile TV app developed in-house, guests can easily access their favorite TV and radio stations via their mobile devices.” All OLED TV devices are conveniently managed via the OTRUM Enterprise IPTV Solution.
